Based in Bossier City, our mission is to build a better youth through the sport of boxing. The Dement Brothers Boxing club is a direct decedent of the "Irish" McNeel's Sports For Boys Boxing Gym, that was located at the Louisiana State Fairgrounds from 1972 until it closed in 1987. The Boxing Club is run by coach Jake Dement, the son of 1972 Olympic boxer Tim Dement. In 2011 Jake began focus on tr

aining fighters and bringing boxing back to the River Cities. The club is in need of equipment, medical support, licenses, uniforms, and travel expenses to compete in tournaments. With your help and the help from the community, this team can grow and reach at risk youth by providing the opportunity to experience the benefits of boxing: self respect, discipline, and sportsmanship along with respect for others and the community outside of the ring.
