As the school year gets underway, parents naturally want things to go well.

We want good teachers. Good grades. Good friendships. Smooth mornings.

But a successful year probably won’t be one where nothing difficult happens.

Sometimes the moments that worry us most are also the moments when our kids discover:

The Fall 2026 Adapted Baseball season is starting a little earlier this year so that we can build in breaks to accommodate everyone's busy schedules. The first game will be on Sunday, August 30th, so the deadline to register is August 20th. Please share with the individuals and families that you serve ASAP. There is a flyer attached with the game dates and times that can be printed and posted at your location. A letter with the program details is also attached, along with a printable version of the registration form. However, the easier and fastest way to register is to follow this link below. Whether you think of yourself as a leader or not, your experiences and your knowledge as a parent of a child receiving special education services are unique and important. Come learn the many ways you can share your experiences and make a difference.

This is a FREE virtual event for NC Parents of Children with Disabilities and special
healthcare needs, sponsored by the Exceptional Children’s Assistance Center (ECAC). A
stipend of $75 will be provided to participants, which will cover 1-hour of pre-training
prep work and the actual 2-hour virtual training.
