The Bolingbrook Amateur Radio Society (BARS) is a Northern IL Ham Radio club, ACTIVE since established in the early 1970's.

Please join us at the next BARS General meeting on February 16th, at 7:30pm at Fire Station No. 5 at 1900 Rodeo Dr in Bolingbrook.

We will have Sky Warn Training presented by Roger AC9Y. This is a very appropriate presentation since Tornado season will be upon us soon. Anybody whether you are licensed or not is welcome to attend!

The next BARS Club meeting will be held on January 19th at 7:30pm at Fire Station No. 5 in Bolingbrook at 1900 Rodeo Dr., about one mile west of Weber Rd.
We will have a program about the National Traffic System presented by Rob K9NYO. You do not have to be a member of BARS nor even a ham to join us. We hope to see you there!

The next BARS Board meeting will be held at 6:30pm at the Cracker Barrel in Romeoville on Weber Road on Monday January 5th. The meeting is open to all paid BARS members.

Please beaware that this is not a general club meeting.

Just a reminder that the deadline for the BARS Holiday Party is fast approaching. The BARS Christmas Party will be held on Monday December 15th in place of our normal club meeting at Fire Station No. 5. The fire station is at 1900 Rodeo Dr., approximately 1 mile west of Weber Road. Information about the Christmas Party can be found on the club homepage k9bar.org. Please be aware that registration of required.

We will have a program about Portable HF Operations. You do not have to be a member of BARS to join us nor even a ham. Come Join Us!

This presentation was originally scheduled for our September meeting but had to be rescheduled due to some unforeseen circumstances.

The next BARS Club meeting will be held October 20th at 7:30pm at Fire Station No. 5 in Bolingbrook at 1900 Rodeo Dr., just west of Weber Rd.

We will have a presentation by Don W9DEZ on operation in a HOA - Attic antennas, stealth antennas, rule interpretation. He will also discuss H.R. 1094 which is advocating for a law expressly forbidding HOAs from putting restrictions on antennas for amateur radio operators..

You do not have to be a member of BARS to join us nor even a ham. Come Join Us!
