Before she was "the Book Lady" to millions of children, Dolly Parton believed every child deserved the chance to fall in love with reading.

Through Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, she collaborated with Rotary to expand access to books and support young readers, one story at a time. We were lucky enough to have her grace the stage at Rotary International in 2010. And our club was honored to support local efforts to bring the Dolly Parton Imagination Library to Will County with a $3500 donation earlier this year.

Dolly, thank you for reminding us that literacy opens doors. Your generosity and optimism will inspire generations to come.
