🚨 SIGN & SHARE: Demand Better Accessible Parking Standards! 🚨

Every time I leave my home, I take a gamble. Will there be an accessible parking space, or will I have to turn around and go home? Too often, the answer is the latter. The current ADA parking standards are outdated and don’t reflect the current demand.

We’re calling for a much-needed update to the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) and require:

✅ 10% of all parking spaces to be accessible (matching the percentage of placards/plates issued)

✅ 2% of all spaces to be van-accessible

This isn’t about convenience - it’s about basic access, dignity, and inclusion for seniors, wheelchair users, and the entire disability community. No one should have to limit their life solely because there wasn’t a space for them.

Ok, y'all... I met a really cool, local guy today and wanted to share his information with you.

For those if you that know me well, he's got the same upbeat attitude and desire to make the world better that I do. His name is Brian P. Swift and he has the coolest nickname - "the Quadfather". He's been a quadriplegic for 44 years and does so much that you need to know about.

He's the author of 8 books; runs a 501 C 3 Non profit called SOAR (Swift Outdoor Accessible Recreation), has a YouTube channel - the Quadfather, get fit while you sit, hosts the Positive Perspective Podcast, and hosts a radio show on 1340 AM -WJOL called All things inspirational Wednesday at 12:05 pm.

I'm going to put a link to each thing in separate comments below so you can easily find him. If you want to be inspired and learn ways to incorporate his strategy (CIA: Commitment, Integrity, and Attitude) in your daily life to reach your goals, check him out.

I'm energized and you will be too.

Brian Swift is an extraordinary leader, coach and mentor that one only comes across several times in one’s life. He is incredibly inspirational and knowledgeable with the ability to grow and empower others.
