Recreational Softball League Serving the Girls of South Middleton Township

South Middleton Youth Softball Association is a non-profit organization for girls age 4 to age 14 in our township. Through the lessons taught in team sports we hope to enhance our players' confidence level, self-esteem and physical abilities that will help them throughout life. Teams are currently sponsored in the 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U divisions through the West Shore Minors Softball League. SMYSA sponsors teams for girls who wish to keep playing softball in the fall. Clinics are also held throughout the year to develop our players' skills. Our 6U league is a great way to girls to learn the basics of softball in a relaxed, fun, no pressure atmosphere. The 10U position features girls pitching from 35 feet using modified rules. The 12U and 14U division use a 12 inch ball and ASA softball rules. If you are interested in having your daughter play in our league program or coaching for this program please e-mail us at [email protected]

With wins on the field and personal bests all around, 12U Gold ended their season on a high note this past weekend! 💛🥎

Some of their big moments included a player's first hit to the outfield, slides into the plate while stealing home, HUGE momentum shifting plays, a few ITP home runs, and a slew of hard-earned K's on the mound! If you ask their coaches, however, the biggest win of all was watching this team grow together, build confidence, and have fun doing what they love.

They wrapped up the weekend in the best way possible with family kickball, pizza, prizes, and softball-sister boo baskets! 👻💜

So much growth, so many memories, and a whole lot of fun. Way to go, "Maniacs"! 🥎

💜💛 We’re proud to recognize Addy Myers for her years of commitment to SMYSA!

Addy took the field with our 14U Gold team for her final rec-league practice and game this past week, and it’s clear she will be greatly missed.

Addy, thank you for representing this league so well. You left it all on the dirt, and both your teammates and coaches have shared what a privilege it was to take the field with you. Your dedication, determination, and support for your team have made a lasting impression. 🥎

It’s always bittersweet to see our athletes age out of the program, but we’re proud to have been part of your softball journey and look forward to seeing what comes next.

On behalf of the entire Steam Family: Congratulations, Addy, and best wishes for all that lies ahead! 💜💛

Who says practice can’t make a splash? 💦🥎
14U Gold traded their typical drills for a little water balloon action! 💜💛 Nothing like a little friendly chaos to keep things fun and build team chemistry.

🎃🥎The SMYSA girls did it again!🥇

This year’s In Our Softball Era themed float rolled through the Boiling Springs Halloween Parade and came home with FIRST PLACE! 💪✨

Wins like this wouldn’t be possible without the girls (and families) who contribute decorations, bring the energy, and put in the hard work to bring the float to life. From the sequins and glitter to the smiles and cheers, the teamwork was unmatched!

These girls proved that the STEAM spirit goes beyond the softball field. 💜💛

Proud doesn’t even begin to cover it. Way to go, SMYSA! 🏆🥎

💜🥎 SMYSA family, who’s joining us tonight?!

We’re in our Softball Era and taking it to the streets of Boiling Springs! 🎶💛 Come out to help us represent and show off our STEAM pride!

📍 BS High School – Upper Lot
⏰ Arrive between 5:30–6:00 PM
(we bumped this up to allow time for the girls to apply ALL of the glitter, eye-black and fun props for a league-wide photo prior to lining up for the parade... but join us whenever you're able!)
🍬 Girls, don’t forget to bring candy to throw!

What a weekend for SMYSA’s 8U!

Both teams have plenty to be proud of after wrapping up Day 2 of the WSM Tournament! After each clinching a spot in the competitive Gold Bracket, 8U Purple battled their way to the semifinals, while 8U Gold fought all the way to the championship game… and brought home 2nd place overall! 🥈💜💛

The future is STEAMING! 🔥 Way to go, girls!

The 8U Steam Teams brought the HEAT on Day 1 of the WSM tournament.🔥 Both squads went 1-1 on the day and we couldn’t be more proud of the way they competed. These girls are young but they are learning fast, working hard and hustling even harder. They’re making outs, cheering eachother on and putting solid swings on the ball. Good luck to 8U Gold and 8U Purple in day 2 tomorrow!💜🥎

12U Gold left it all on the field on Day 1 of the WSM Tournament. Though they went 0-2 for the day, they played with grit and battled to the very end of each of their tough, tight games. We’re proud of this team for playing hard, learning along the way and supporting eachother no matter what. Good luck on Day 2, ladies! 🥎✨🫶🏻

Another great day to be TEAM STEAM! Our 10U teams faced off in the Silver Bracket of WSM's tournament and though one team had to lose, everyone played great and came off the field with a smile.

Congratulations to 10U Gold for moving on to win the Silver Bracket! 🏅🥎
