One Step One Change Foundation supports individuals on their path to sustaining their independence while experiencing Developmental Disabilities, Autism Spectrum, and Mental Health Disorders. We are committed to personalized care approaches administered within our supportive communities and outreach programming. Our short- and long-term residential facilities provide a continuum of care for individuals at varying stages in their journey. We support individuals on all levels of the spectrum, regardless of background or identities and are LGBTQIA+-affirming. We visualize a future where those living with these disorders are accepted into their communities as responsible and contributing citizens. We believe that all people, no matter their abilities, are entitled to receive the benefits of living their best life as it is a fundamental right to live independently, gain satisfying employment, and achieve high levels of meaningful social interactions. One Step One Change Foundation offers safe and structured facilities and programming designed to accommodate the DD, ASD, and Mental Health community which are aligned with a continuum of care focused on holistic practices and graduated victories. We understand that caring for loved ones with neurodevelopmental challenges involves incorporating constant emotional and moral support into their lifestyle. Our specialized services are structured based on the individual's progressive abilities, degree of symptoms, the age of the client, and current case management recommendations. Our community members often face several challenges, including lack of social interaction, limited communication skills, peer isolation, or inability to effectively control their emotions, often exhibiting feelings of anxiety, fits of anger, or potentially harmful behaviors. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to supporting an individual living with spectrum challenges and One Step One Change Foundation is qualified with more than 30 + years collective experience to incorporate progressive care strategies with love, patience, compassion, and empathy to ensure the best outcome for our community members.
