Heat illness is completely preventable. Yet every year workers die. We are joining workers from across the country this week to participate in the National Week of Heat Action with National Council for Occupational Safety and Health and many of our partners.

We're sharing multilingual materials and offering training for workers and worker organizations.

As part of the California Heat Study, we have also been interviewing workers across California to document the impact of heat on workers in agriculture, construction, food service and warehouses.

Heat protections must include water, rest, shade or cooling, acclimatization and training.

We held a workshop with laborers and domestic workers in San Francisco on fall protections. This is part of a health and safety series in partnership with a member-led immigrant organization.
