Dearest family of friends..
The time has come for us to bring the Culinary Inspiration For Youth programs and the Sam Vincent Foundation to a close.
It has been our loving intention to honor the passion and purpose of Sam Vincent by creating a exquisite Culinary program for our local at-risk youth that would embody what Sam would have loved and flourished in. And for the people to know him by name and carry on speaking his name when sharing their experience in our Culinary programs, Benefit Shows or Final Feasts and all the stories shared of Sam.
He was such a gifted young Chef and always wanted to share not only his culinary knowledge but his delicious creations.
He was blessed with apprenticing with many local and international brilliant Chefs and cooks and inspired SO many of his friends to go on to be cooks and chefs with many of them lovingly participating in our Culinary program as "Guest Chefs".
Since 2012 when we started the Sam Vincent Foundation we have inspired and been inspired by over 200 local youth. Our purpose was to bring together youth in a respectful, loving and inspiring environment and share the world of culinary excellence.
Our Executive Chef Amanda Joost, one of the Chefs Sam was blessed to work alongside of, has poured ALL her brilliance and knowledge into the youth while honoring her beloved friend Sam and we could not have had the exquisite sessions without her.
We could not have done ANY of this without the loving kindness and support of our immediate and extended family, Growing Leader's teachers, our Board of Directors who dedicated their time to our dream ALL for the love of Sam and ALL OF YOU!
We set out with the dream to honor Sam and make him proud and we know we did just that
EVERY TIME.
And our toast at the end of every class before we dined on the delicious family meal the youth had prepped, cooked and plated...
