Another week—another round of working (playing) in the dirt. Here’s what our crews have been up to:
Catapult – Refresh complete as of 10/20! Final tweaks and packing is done.
Mad Hatter – Refresh done and the trail has been open since 10/19. Go ride it!
OZ3 – Tested the trail on 10/20 and noted a few spots to add or enhance catches, plus one zone for a machine-built feature. The sign layout is approved and the order is placed. This trail coming soon.
OCC (Ozark Conservation Corps) Trail Work – Maintenance on Armadillos Last Stand, Jesse’s Connector, and Jesse’s Last Stand—cleared trees, weed-eated, and raked Over the Hill and Grandma’s House. Also started raking Tatamagouche (black and blue) and getting about halfway through Medusa.
Slaughter Pen Phase 2 East Fixes – Rock work is complete at the 2 Stacks to Schroen Train intersection. The 2 Stacks Connector and the West HCH (Rocky Ridge South) connector have been deleted, a new connection is coming this week.
Traverse Loop – Reroutes near the HCH campground are complete. The corridor for the reroute under Zone 4 is cleared and will be bench cut this week.
Good Vibrations – SEPPI refresh complete with Coler. Go ride it!
Dalton Dr – All sharrows painted for Disco Stu trail access.
Trail Clearing & Signage – Tree removed from the alt line on Rabbit Hole Loop, leaning tree removed on Oeste Vista, and the Danger Will Robinson sign removed from the middle of the trail. A new one will go up in a safer spot soon.
Bentonville Discovery Beginner Loop – SEPPI work finished and packed on the west side. On the east side, the crew ran about 1,600’ of tread from the bridge toward Masterpiece. About 300’ remain to connect this week.
Gateway Park – The metal bridge is complete, with bar grating welded in and cable handrails installed.
