We love tacos week. We love neighbors. We love our volunteers!

Thank you to all the kitchen volunteers this week. Shout out Happy Egg Co. team! Thank you to all the individuals and team leaders who show up every week.

They hosted a lemonade stand to benefit For The Love. Helping us feed the hungry, cultivate community, and fight poverty in Northwest Arkansas.

Such a fun hands on way for kids to get involved this summer. If your family host a lemonade stand be sure and tag us.

No crumbly nights around here. Summer heat finally arrived but we had delicious food, amazing neighbors, new friendship, and full tables. Thanks for joining us for dinner!

Because dirty dishes mean families were fed, neighbors gathered around a table, and no one had to go to bed hungry.

We received a big haul of cucumbers from our friends at Seeds That Feeds, so neighbors got to take home fresh, locally grown produce to cook with at home!

Neighbor Rosa shared one of her favorite ways to use cucumbers:

Aguachile

- Mix diced serrano or jalapeño peppers with lemon juice and salt.
- Stir in cooked, chilled shrimp, diced cucumber, and chopped onion.
- Serve on a tostada with mashed avocado.

Want to kick up the heat? Swap the serrano or jalapeño for chile de árbol and add a splash of soy sauce for extra flavor.

A huge thank you to Seeds That Feeds for providing fresh local produce and to Rosa for inspiring us with a new recipe to try.
