Thrilled to be partnering on an ambitious slate of programming with Southwest Vermont Supervisory Union, Bennington Museum, John G. McCullough Free Library, and Smithsonian via the Smithsonian Rural Initiative!

"'Our funded programs that are currently now in place, like the work of democracy and dialogue in the schools, like the work of the public library, those are long-term investments. Those you can be part of that program for as many semesters as you want,' he said. 'So there is no end date to the work that we can provide, and then over time we can identify additional Smithsonian programs that we can bring to Bennington if invited and if it does contribute.'"

Several local institutions have announced the Bennington Rural Renaissance Initiative, a partnership that includes the Smithsonian Rural Initiative.

Mark your calendars! Community mural painting led by members of ArtLords is happening at the Manchester Community Library this Friday and Saturday!

The surface is primed, the design is sketched. Come by August 21 and August 22 from 10:00am - 5:00pm to paint and enjoy!

The Bennington County Multicultural Community Center will host a dinner and auction at Lake Paran - North Bennington, VT to benefit relief efforts in Venezuela following the devastating 7.2 and 7.5 magnitude earthquakes that killed thousands and reduced towns and cities to rubble.

Working alongside local Venezuelan families, BCMCC is planning this auction and dinner, and all proceeds will go to relief efforts in Venezuela. Please join us Thursday evening at Lake Paran and share this invitation widely so that as many people as possible can show up for our friends and neighbors who are hurting for their home country and contribute to organizations providing emergency services in Venezuela.

Proceeds will go to:
- Brigada de Rescate Topos Tlaltelolco (TOPOS) .mx
- ⁠Global Empowerment Mission (GEM)

Suggested donation of $25 or more at the door. Silent and live auction items available for bid - expect furniture, fly fishing gear, gift baskets, and more!

TOMORROW April 15th at 7:00pm, come out to support BCMCC and have a great time! Bennington College's Carriage Barn Music Series and Vermont Arts Exchange are hosting a concert and dance party featuring Sal Mamudoski and his Americano Band.

Enjoy music, dancing, and a selection of Afghan and Venezuelan food! All proceeds will benefit BCMCC and our work. Tickets are $20, $5 for kids, and Bennington College students can attend for free with ID.
