Ivy Unruh is being remembered for her service, compassion, and lasting impact following her passing on April 20, 2026, at the age of 25. Family and friends continue honoring a life defined by dedication to others both in and out of uniform.
After serving in the United States Marine Corps, Unruh worked as a broadcast engineer at PBS Kansas. Her expertise in radio frequency and satellite communications helped her excel in the role, where she contributed her skills and professionalism to the organization and community.
Those closest to her described her as a daughter, sister, friend, and veteran who brought light to the lives of others. They remembered her strength, kindness, and selflessness, qualities that remained evident throughout her life and service.
Unruh’s decision to become an organ donor ultimately helped save six lives, creating a legacy that continues through those she helped. Her memory remains with family, friends, colleagues, and community members who continue to honor the difference she made in the lives of others.
