The mission of Warm the Children is to provide warm winter clothing to children in Bennington County aged infant – 14 years old. Priority will be given to applications received between: September 3rd - September 17th, 2024.

The WTC team is working hard to prepare for the 2024 program! We are for more volunteers this year.

The program will accept applications from families between September 3rd - 17th. Volunteers will be matched with families and will need to contact families by October 15th to arrange for their shopping experiences. As always, the goal will be to complete the shopping as early in the season as possible. This year, we will be offering in-person shopping at Walmart in Bennington (not Walmart.com), or "virtual" shopping via a JCPenney catalogue, that will have a predetermined list of items available for purchase. Families that choose JCPenney will go through the catalog (either in-person with their shopper, or separately with an electronic copy of the catalog), and then the shopper will fill out paper order forms for submission.

WTC has been collecting gently used winter items. Mission City Church located at 416 Main Street in Bennington will have the following times to stop by and see what is available:



October 25th & 26th - 8am to 10am or 3pm to 5pm

November 1st & 2nd - 8am to 10am or 3pm to 5pm

We have received a record number of applications this year over 500! Unfortunately we currently have enough donations to clothe only 200.
