Hi Crystal Peaks Family!

Mark your calendars for the Redmond 4th of July Parade this year. We would love to have you all join us on the Crystal Peaks float as we celebrate our troops, veterans and the blessing of freedom in our nation.

The Bible tells us, "It is for freedom that Christ has set us free." (Galatians 5:1, NIV)

This special day we remember and celebrate the freedom we have in Jesus and the gift of freedom He has granted us in the United States of America. We are gathering together to display our love and gratitude for the veterans and first responders who make our freedom possible.

On the morning of the 4th, we will be meeting at 9:00 a.m. in downtown Redmond at Dogwood and 6th. If you don’t see us right away, make your way around the block to Elm and 5th, by Ryan’s Produce Stand.

These street corners are opposite ends of a big gravel parking area, and we will park where there is the most room for setup. Look for our horse trailer and a flatbed trailer with hay on it (our float). We will need lots of help decorating the float, banners, manure carts and ourselves!

Please come decked out in your best display of red, white and blue. We will also have extra patriotic attire available during the time set aside for decorating our entry.

The parade starts at 10:00 a.m.—and all who desire to participate must be loaded up on our float by this time.

When the parade is finished, we will return to where the trailers are parked. We would love everyone who is involved to stick around for a few minutes afterwards to help dismantle our many decorations. We are grateful each year for all the help to set up . . . and to clean up.

Important things to bring: hat, sunscreen, lots of water, snacks, and a HUGE smile.

We will not require an RSVP for riding the float, but we will require each person to complete our Special Event Release Form (https://form.jotform.com/211108092515143) before attending and riding the float. If you have any questions, please reach out to our team at [email protected].

We hope to see you there.

". . . My sorrow over the loss of my equine friend was eclipsed by a sense of wonder. To his literal dying breath, Hero’s life story went out like a weapon of radiant hope declaring the Gospel of Christ . . ."

We are grateful for our sheriff’s department, the DCSO Rescue Ranch, and the friendship Jesus has cultivated between us.

A huge thank you to Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch for their incredible generosity!

They donated 3 tons of hay this summer to our DCSO Rescue Ranch — a gift that helps us care for the animals entrusted to us.

We are so grateful for community partners like Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch who step up to support the Sheriff’s Office and the work we do with animals.
