In our Robotics Programs, mistake-making isn't just allowed- it’s celebrated! This week, our homeschool team was challenged to program their motorized builds to navigate a planned route.

It often takes *at least* three code revisions, a *few* gear adjustments, and a lot of high-fives, but every single kid cracked the puzzle. We aren't just teaching technology; we're teaching resilience, logic, and collaborative problem-solving.

Big news for Central Oregon youth! 🌟

We are deeply grateful to announce that Braemar Charitable Trust has awarded Camp Fire Central Oregon a $15,000 grant!

This generous support directly funds our initiative: "Empowering Youth for a Thriving Future: Building Systems for Behavior and Inclusion Support."

At Camp Fire, every young person deserves a space where they feel seen, supported, and empowered to thrive. It is officially fall in Central Oregon! During our afterschool programs, we make sure screen time takes a backseat to trail time. Whether we're exploring local parks in Bend or gathering pinecones along neighborhood trails, learning to slow down and observe nature builds lifelong environmental stewardship.

If you're looking for a new trail, our favorite is the Larch Trail Loop on the Metolius Preserve. The best time to do it is coming up in mid-October! 💛
