When placing clients in new positions, AtWork! provides customized on-site training and continuing on-site support to ensure that both client and employer achieve or surpass the results they expect. More than 50 years ago, two groups of parents, a special education teacher and the Kiwanis Club of Issaquah came together with a singular belief; people with disabilities belong in their communities and have the capacity to work and contribute to them. In those days this ideology was uncommon, and people with disabilities were routinely sent away to institutions. Our founders were the pioneers of community inclusion and their passion fueled their commitment to bring innovative ideas and resources together to create sustainable opportunities. Today, we continue to be innovative and transformative leaders earning national recognition for empowering people previously deemed unemployable. We deliver individualized and customized conduits of employment, links to the community, and assistance with the transition from school to work. Our services are highly personalized and focus on creating opportunities that interest and satisfy the individual and meet the needs of the business. Every day, AtWork! is proving that employment for all is not just a dream, but a reality. Learn more at www.AtWorkWA.org

Today is Global Accessibility Awareness Day.

Accessibility is more than compliance, it’s about creating spaces, systems, and opportunities where everyone can fully participate.

At AtWork!, accessibility means breaking down barriers to employment. We believe in fostering inclusive workplaces and ensuring individuals of all abilities can contribute, connect, and succeed.

When we design with accessibility in mind, we build stronger teams, better businesses, and more inclusive communities.

Let’s keep moving from awareness to action.
