Huge thanks to Eastside Church for hosting a wonderful Friendsgiving Dinner! This year marked our fifth annual gathering, and with nearly 100 people in attendance, it was our biggest and warmest celebration yet. The evening was filled with delicious food, great company, and a welcoming spirit that made everyone feel at home.

The night was full of laughter and connection—including a lively Kahoot game that brought out everyone’s competitive side in the best way. We’re grateful for five years of friendship, hospitality, and shared gratitude, and we look forward to many more moments like this together!

On November 21, Pacifica Foundation Seattle had the joy of hosting friends from Temple Beth Or and Community Christian Fellowship (CCF) for an evening of Scriptural Reasoning. Nearly 30 of us—Christians, Jews, and Muslims—came together around a shared dinner, conversation, and reflection, continuing a tradition we’ve been holding for over three years. Scriptural Reasoning is a unique inter-faith practice in which people of different traditions read and reflect on their sacred texts together, promoting deeper understanding and meaningful dialogue.

We read and discussed “Learning and Education” from the Scriptural Reasoning Program, exploring how our sacred texts speak to the meaning of learning, teaching, and growing in wisdom. The dialogue was thoughtful, personal, and deeply enriching. We’re grateful to everyone who joined us and helped create such a warm spirit of understanding. Looking forward to many more gatherings that build bridges and deepen friendship in our community.

Pacifica Foundation Seattle youth stepped up to volunteer and serve our beautiful Washington community on October 18th! 💚🌿💪 They spent about 2.5 hours cleaning our adopted road — showing that small acts of service can make a big difference. Proud of their dedication to serving our community and protecting our environment! 💚

Today, Pacifica Foundation Seattle partnered with Sunrise Senior Living for a heartwarming afternoon with around 20 lovely seniors. 🎨☕️
Together, we enjoyed a live demonstration of traditional Turkish water marbling (Ebru), freshly brewed Turkish coffee, and a spread of delicious Turkish delights, baklava, and more. 🍬✨
To make the day even more special, we gifted each guest a decorated candle and the Ebru artworks created during the event. 💝
A big thank-you to everyone who helped create this beautiful moment of connection and cultural sharing. 🧡

On Saturday evening, our female students at Pacifica Foundation Seattle had the opportunity to meet with Lindsey Eksili and Thokozani Manguwo Mbewe

In a warm and sincere atmosphere, the students were able to ask all the questions on their minds.
The inspiring life stories and journeys of our esteemed guests left a deep impression on our young participants.

It was a genuine, heartfelt, and enlightening conversation.
We sincerely thank everyone who contributed to this meaningful gathering.

What an inspiring Monday at Cascadia College! 🎓

Over 100 attendees—mostly students—joined us for a powerful talk by Prof. Ori Z. Soltes from Georgetown University on Fethullah Gulen: Education and Human Rights.

💬✨ After the lecture, students had engaging table discussions, followed by a Q&A and heartfelt reflections from two student speakers.

We wrapped up with a book signing by Dr. Soltes.

We at Pacifica Foundation Seattle extend our deepest condolences on the passing of His Holiness the Pope. His life was a testament to faith, compassion, and tireless service to humanity. He stood as a moral compass for millions around the world, championing peace, justice, and dignity for all people, regardless of background or belief.

As an organization committed to fostering understanding and unity across cultures and communities, we recognize and honor the Pope’s enduring legacy of bridge-building and hope. His voice echoed with wisdom, and his actions inspired hearts across generations.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Catholic community and all who mourn this profound loss. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his legacy continue to inspire kindness, humility, and service in all of us.

🌍 On April 5th, Pacifica Foundation Seattle teamed up with Green Seattle Partnership to celebrate Earth Day with purpose and action! 💪🌱 Our amazing volunteers gathered at Golden Gardens Park to remove invasive weeds and help restore the park’s beautiful natural ecosystem. It was a day of community, care for the Earth, and hands-on impact. Thank you to everyone who joined us in giving back to nature! 💚
