It was wonderful to see the Pink Patrol Car proudly displayed at Neches' Beaumont location on Dowlen, spreading awareness and reminding our community of the importance of early detection.

Today, we are honored to spotlight 𝗦𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗛 𝗪𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗦, one of 𝗚𝗶𝗳𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲’𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗔𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗔𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗨𝘀!

A proud Beaumont native, talented event designer and owner of 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗯𝘆 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗵 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹𝘀, Sarah has made giving back to her community a heartfelt priority. Through her leadership with the 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝘂𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁 and her generosity in sharing her time and creative talents, she continues to bring people together and make a meaningful difference. 🎀

Inspired by generations of family who valued service, Sarah carries that tradition forward, often volunteering alongside her son, Hank. Her dedication to 𝗚𝗶𝗳𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 and other community organizations reflects her belief that life's greatest gifts are found in 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸. 💕

As an Angel Among Us, Sarah helps champion Gift of Life's mission of bringing 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵, 𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 to women and families throughout Southeast Texas.

Gift of Life was delighted to be part of the 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻'𝘀 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗹𝘆 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, held on October 8!

✨ Together, we created more than a drive-thru celebration. We created moments of connection, lifted spirits and wrapped our Southeast Texas breast cancer warriors in a powerful reminder that they are not alone in this journey.

💗 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗵𝘂𝗿 𝗚𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗣𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗢𝘃𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵!

Gift of Life was honored to join the𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗵𝘂𝗿 for a special proclamation recognizing 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 and the importance of early detection, education and access to lifesaving breast health services.

This meaningful recognition helps shine a light on a message we share throughout Southeast Texas: 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗮𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀. We are grateful for community partners who stand with us in encouraging women to prioritize their health and helping ensure that those in need have access to vital breast cancer screenings and resources.

Thank you to Mayor Charlotte M. Moses, the Port Arthur City Council and Port Arthur Health Department Director Judith Smith, R.N., BSN, for their continued support, along with Gift of Life representatives Ingrid Holmes, Norma Sampson and Rita Davis, R.N., who participated in the presentation.

🎀 A Meaningful Day for Gift of Life 🎀

Today, Gift of Life was honored to receive a proclamation from Mayor West and the Beaumont City Council recognizing Ovarian and Breast Cancer Awareness Months. 💗

We are deeply appreciative of Mayor West and the City Council for recognizing the importance of this message and for acknowledging the women and families whose lives have been touched by these diseases. 🌷

It was especially meaningful to share this occasion with two of our extraordinary Angels Among Us, Virtue Alexander and Sheree Pierce. ✨ We also felt the presence of two very special Angels who could not be with us today, Janci Kimball and Sarah Wells. Their friendship and generosity have each furthered our outreach message of prevention. 💕

Joining us to accept the proclamation were Gift of Life President Linda Domino, Treasurer Dora Nisby, and Founder, Chair Regina Rogers and Executive Director Norma Sampson. We are grateful for the leadership of these remarkable women and the many others who make our work possible. 💗

The proclamation also recognized Julie Richardson Procter, whose personal experience with ovarian cancer became the catalyst for heightening attention to the symptoms and risks of a disease that can be difficult to recognize. Although she succumbed to ovarian cancer, her legacy continues to make a difference through the Julie Richardson Procter 5K Women’s Run on October 31. 🏃‍♀️🎀

Her journey encourages women to know their bodies, recognize changes that may otherwise be overlooked, and take action when something doesn’t feel right. 💗

Thank you, Mayor West and the Beaumont City Council, for recognizing this important observance and for celebrating the women, families and champions who make our community stronger. 🌸
