Last month, we had the privilege of celebrating the dedicated volunteers who make the mission of CASA of Southeast Texas possible.

From a fun evening of bingo to recognizing our Volunteer of the Month, the evening was a meaningful reminder of the impact that happens when caring members of our community choose to show up for children.

To our CASA volunteers: thank you for your continued dedication to advocating for the best interests of children in Southeast Texas We are incredibly grateful for each of you and honored to have you as part of the CASA family. ❤️

What does a CASA volunteer actually do?

A CASA volunteer is a trained community member appointed by a judge to advocate for a child in foster care.

CASA volunteers:
- Gets to know the child
- Provides consistent support throughout the case
- Helps ensure the child’s needs aren’t overlooked
- Advocates for the child’s best interests in court
- Speaks with teachers, caregivers, and caseworkers

For many children, their CASA volunteer is the one constant person who stays by their side.
