Macoy and Hayden Smith had a great time at the Texas Farm Bureau Young Farmer & Rancher Spring Conference! It was a valuable opportunity to connect with others in agriculture, gain new insights, and bring fresh ideas back to their community.

With Hayden owning a commercial applicators business, Double S Land Management, they especially enjoyed the presentation by Justin Hale with Ignition Land Services, as his mindset and business model closely aligned with their own. The grant information breakout session provided valuable insight that they plan to use to help encourage and support local farmers in applying for future opportunities. Macoy particularly enjoyed the estate planning workshop, finding it especially eye-opening given her deep family roots in Jefferson County.

They learned a lot, met great people, and had a wonderful time. Macoy and Hayden are incredibly grateful to the Jefferson County Farm Bureau for allowing them to attend on their behalf.
