Fatherhood brings incredible moments, but it can also come with challenges that are not always talked about.

As we recognize Men's Mental Health Month, a recent study found that fathers may face an increased risk of depression and stress-related disorders during their first year of parenthood. While becoming a parent can be exciting and rewarding, it can also bring new pressures and responsibilities.

This month, let's continue the conversation, break the stigma, and encourage men to prioritize their mental health and seek support when they need it.

Families in Gallia County are invited to join a virtual listening session on Wednesday, June 24 from 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM to share experiences and ideas about child care and early learning.

If you are a parent, caregiver, expecting parent, or navigating early childhood systems, your perspective matters. Together, we can strengthen supports for children prenatal to age 3 and the families who care for them.

BCDI Ohio is centering dads’ voices through our Dad Experience Survey. We want to hear about your experiences, challenges, and ideas so we can better understand what support truly looks like for fathers in our community.
