a Faith based Community Center, in Bay City, serving those in need! This is open on Tuesdays from 12-2, and Wednesdays from 6-8pm.

The Great Lakes Dream Center is located at 700 Lafayette Ave in Bay City, MI. Unfortunately, we are unable to help with food, utilities, rent, shut-off notices or evictions, but we do offer a Practical Needs Pantry where we have diapers, cleaning kits, hygiene, paper products, coats, blankets. No appointment is necessary, come and our volunteers to meet your needs. We are also unable to accept clo

thing donations, but we suggest the Good Samaritan Rescue Mission, Cat's Meow, or other resale shops around town. If you need furniture, we work with a group called Furnishing friends. If this is your need, please leave a clear message with your name, your phone number, your need, why you need it, and we will forward it on to Furnishing Friends. We have a church service on Sunday evenings at 6 pm, and you are always welcome! If you are in need of a ride to church, we may be able to pick you up. Please request a ride by Thursday at noon with your name, address, and how many will be with you. Please note that you can message us on facebook or text us at 989-270-7575 and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.

There are so many wonderful organizations in Bay City that try to meet the needs of the people we also see at the Dream Center. On this , it seems very appropriate to give thanks for the work that Mid Michigan Community Action does!

Throughout the year, in all seasons, MMCA is assisting people with early childhood education, home energy and utility assistance, budgeting, home ownership support, and much much more. We tell people about their services all the time and encourage them to reach out about their needs!

This week, alongside the Dream Center, MMCA has poured a big dose of EXTRA ACTION into helping the unhoused people who are being impacted by the dangerous environmental issues near Liberty Street bridge encampment. They have provided resources to help get people moved and into better temporary situations. And they also have services to help people move toward more stable living situations, if desired.

We are thankful to have MMCA working so tirelessly in our community! Thank you for all you do and for all the ways you support people to move toward housing stability. ❤
