Great Lakes Dream Center
a Faith based Community Center, in Bay City, serving those in need! This is open on Tuesdays from 12-2, and Wednesdays from 6-8pm.

The Great Lakes Dream Center is located at 700 Lafayette Ave in Bay City, MI. Unfortunately, we are unable to help with food, utilities, rent, shut-off notices or evictions, but we do offer a Practical Needs Pantry where we have diapers, cleaning kits, hygiene, paper products, coats, blankets. No appointment is necessary, come and our volunteers to meet your needs. We are also unable to accept clothing donations, but we suggest the Good Samaritan Rescue Mission, Cat's Meow, or other resale shops around town. If you need furniture, we work with a group called Furnishing friends. If this is your need, please leave a clear message with your name, your phone number, your need, why you need it, and we will forward it on to Furnishing Friends. We have a church service on Sunday evenings at 6 pm, and you are always welcome! If you are in need of a ride to church, we may be able to pick you up. Please request a ride by Thursday at noon with your name, address, and how many will be with you. Please note that you can message us on facebook or text us at 989-270-7575 and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.

At September's end, the Dream Center has given out 10,520 laundry detergent sheets SO FAR this year. That can make a difference for a family struggling between whether to spend their last few dollars buying laundry soap or picking up a prescription.

For the hours you volunteer ...
the prayers you lift for us ...
the financial gifts you entrust us with... We Thank You!

Pastor Mary will be raising awareness and raising funds during Rooftop Survivor that begins on November 2! Her goal is to raise $35,000 and to connect with 10 new $100/mo partners and she's not coming down until the goal is met.

Mary Johnson will remain on the Great Lakes Dream Center roof day and night, refusing high-tech gear to experience what people without shelter endure. In 2024, she stayed up there for 14 days straight.

At the Dream Center, we strive to help people with their material needs, spiritual needs, and emotional needs. When it comes to tending to your emotional needs, substances or destructive lifestyles can exacerbate struggles and challenges. That's why we're so proud to have groups meeting in our space all week.

Please look at this schedule and make a plan to drop in at a group. Share it with someone who may benefit from support, accountability, and practical help.
