A big thank you to the KCC Men’s Basketball Team for coming out to Fremont International Elementary to support our children with reading!

Seeing Black men reading and leading helps our children recognize the value of literacy, leadership, and community. We appreciate these student athletes for sharing their time and encouraging our young readers!

Skills and Team Development has started, we would like to thank KCC Mens baskeball team for helping coach students, and BCC young men baskeball team for coaching students, the impact created ! will truly create a lasting learning experience for all our students, see you soon and feel free to join us!!!

Black Males Read program was a success Fremont International Academy, The community leaders and coaches was able to create an environment where children can see Black men reading and leading, we are rolling into year 3 with this program and the children really enjoys reading with us, we will see you next month !!!

🏀 We’re back for the 2026 Skills & Team Development basketball season!

Registration is open for boys and girls in 2nd through 6th grade. All skill levels are welcome. We’re excited to bring our young players together again to build skills, grow as teammates, and have fun on the court!

Join us Sunday, October 18, for registration and open gym at the Battle Creek YMCA, 87 Cherry St.

🏀 2nd–3rd grade: 2:30 PM
🏀 4th–6th grade: 3:30 PM
