Happy National Dog Day from our Chief Safety PAW-fficer! 🐾💙

When he isn’t busy keeping our CEO company, he takes his role of promoting safety, spreading smiles, and supervising treat distribution very seriously.

His safety reminder for today: Never leave pups alone in a parked vehicle. Temperatures inside a car can rise quickly, even with the windows cracked, putting pets at risk of heatstroke or worse. If your pup cannot come inside with you, leave them safely at home.

Back-to-school season is a great time to make sure your child knows important information they may need if they become lost, separated from a caregiver, or experience an emergency. 🎒

Review this checklist together and practice when and how to call 911. Remind children that personal information should not be shared with strangers and should only be given to a trusted adult, school employee, first responder, or 911 operator when they need help.

Knowing what to do and who to ask for help can make a big difference during an emergency. 💙
