Something new is being paired with our Rescue Kitchen meals!

We’re excited to partner with Hunters for the Hungry Louisiana to share their new Bayou Buck Game Sticks, a delicious beef jerky made to help put nutritious food in the hands of local families.

Three O’Clock Project is proud to be the first organization to distribute Bayou Buck Game Sticks to the local community, pairing them with our regular weekly meals to give our neighbors a little something extra.

We’re grateful to Hunters for the Hungry for creating another way to support our community and for trusting us to help get this new product into the hands of families who can benefit from it.

We’re anxiously awaiting cooler days, crisp mornings, and all the warm, comforting foods that come with fall...

Until then, we’ll be in the Rescue Kitchen cooking up hearty meals and putting good food to work for our community. From rescued ingredients to chef-prepared meals, every week brings another opportunity to nourish our neighbors and keep good food from going to waste.

Good food can come from anywhere, even your backyard!

We’re so grateful to the gardeners, growers, and community members who choose to share their surplus harvest with our Rescue Kitchen. Extra tomatoes, squash, peppers, greens, and other fresh produce can be transformed into nutritious meals for neighbors across our community.

When you have more than you can use, don’t let it go to waste. Donate your surplus harvest to Three O’Clock Project and help turn what you grow into something that nourishes someone else.

Chef Breaux spent the day with the Food Recovery Network at LSU, helping portion meals and learning more about their work to fight food waste and food insecurity on campus and in our community.

We love connecting with organizations that share our belief that good food should never go to waste. Grateful for the opportunity to work alongside the Food Recovery Network and learn from the incredible work they’re doing at LSU.

Together, we can turn food that might otherwise be wasted into nourishment for our community.

Got a garden that’s growing more than you can eat? We’ll take it!

A big thank you to Hillar Moore, who recently donated a generous harvest of squash from his garden to our Rescue Kitchen. What might have been extra at home can become fresh, nutritious meals for families in our community.

Gardeners, growers, and backyard farmers, you can be part of the solution too! If your garden is producing more than you need, consider donating your surplus to us. Your extra harvest can help nourish our neighbors while keeping good food from going to waste.

We’re building something BIG in Baton Rouge!

Three O’Clock Project is thrilled to partner with the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank to bring a new Community Kitchen to life, and we’re excited to announce that Ritter Maher Architects has been selected to help make it happen!

This new 5,000-square-foot space will transform part of the Food Bank’s facility into a commercial kitchen, culinary classroom, and workforce training center aiming to produce approximately 1,000 nutritious meals each day!

For us, this is the next chapter in our food rescue mission: taking good food that would otherwise go to waste and transforming it into nourishing meals for families across South Louisiana. By bringing together the Food Bank’s incredible distribution network and volunteer base with Three O’Clock Project’s food rescue and nutrition expertise, we’re creating a powerful community-driven solution to food waste and food insecurity.

We can’t wait to share this journey with you. Stay tuned for progress as we build a kitchen designed to feed, teach, train, and make a lasting impact in our community.

Back to school, Baton Rouge!

Last week, Three O’Clock Project was proud to join the Joe Burrow Foundation for the 2nd annual Burreaux’s Back to School Kickoff! It was an incredible day bringing together families, community partners, and local organizations to help Baton Rouge students head into the new school year prepared and ready to thrive.

We’re so grateful to the Joe Burrow Foundation for continuing to invest in our community and for bringing so many people together around a shared mission of supporting local families. We loved being part of the day and seeing what’s possible when our community shows up for one another. Here’s to a great school year ahead!

This summer, our Rescue Kitchen delivered hundreds of nutritious, chef-prepared meals to neighbors across Baton Rouge. Each one made possible through rescued food, dedicated volunteers, and incredible community partners.

Providing relief to our neighbors through food rescue is at the heart of what we do, and we're just getting started. As we look ahead to fall, we're excited to expand our reach, welcome new partners and volunteers, and continue creating an even greater impact across Baton Rouge.
