What started as a vision is now a legacy.

Congratulations to the graduates of our inaugural Leadership Cohort! Over the past several months, these leaders have leaned into growth, challenged one another, built meaningful connections, and strengthened their commitment to leading with purpose and impact across Louisiana.

A special thank you to Krystal Hardy Allen of K Allen Consulting for her outstanding facilitation, wisdom, and leadership throughout this journey. Your ability to challenge and inspire leaders made this experience truly transformative.

Thank you to Keiara Skipper for walking alongside this cohort every step of the way. Your dedication, support, and commitment helped create an environment where leaders could learn, grow, and thrive.

A special shoutout to Dr. Fateama Fulmore for serving as our keynote speaker. Your powerful message on leadership, service, and the responsibility we have to create opportunities for others was the perfect charge for this inaugural class as they continue their leadership journeys.

The future is bright because of leaders like these. This is only the beginning.

Almost a year into strategic planning, and we are proud of the goals we’ve already been able to accomplish and the vision we continue to build. This process has challenged us to think deeper, lead differently, and stay grounded in the impact we want to create across Louisiana.

Grateful for the continued partnership, insight, and support from K Allen Consulting throughout this journey. Strategic planning is more than meetings and documents it’s about creating intentional pathways for growth, sustainability, and meaningful impact.

Excited for what’s ahead and thankful for everyone continuing to pour into this work alongside me.

Watching our Amplify Louisiana students grow into leaders will always be one of the greatest rewards of this work. 💚💗

So proud to celebrate Alarryal Bradley on becoming a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. at Louisiana State University. From finding her voice through Amplify LA to continuing a legacy of excellence and service on campus this is what happens when students are seen, supported, and given access to opportunity.

The future is bright, and she’s proof that our young people can thrive in every room they enter. ✨💚

There’s something powerful about watching people who once benefited from opportunity become the very people creating it for others.

Today we celebrate Keiara Skipper TRIO award recipient, advocate, mentor, and now keynote speaker for the senior program this weekend. That’s why TRIO works. It doesn’t just open doors; it builds leaders who come back and hold the door open for the next generation.

From student to speaker. From participant to example. From being poured into to pouring back.

Proud of you Keiara. Keep showing students what’s possible. 💙💛

30 years of impact. 30 years of pushing this country closer to the promise it made to every student.

Honored to celebrate the legacy of Ed Trust and even more proud to be part of the work that ensures the next 30 years are bolder, louder, and more rooted in equity than ever before.

Here’s to the students, the advocates, and the truth-tellers who refuse to let the work stop. 💙📚

From a conversation to a calling and now to law school with a scholarship in hand. That’s the power of what happens when mentorship meets opportunity.

As State Director at Ed Trust Louisiana, I’m reminded that our work is bigger than policy it’s personal. It’s about building pathways, making the right introductions, and walking alongside people as they step into their purpose. This moment didn’t happen by chance. It happened because of intentional mentorship, strong partnerships, and a belief that talent exists everywhere even when opportunity does not.

Congratulations, Roderick Jackson former Ed Trust Justice Impacted Fellow—your journey is just getting started.

Today, we celebrate one of our own rising. Tomorrow, we keep building systems so it’s not the exception but the expectation.

Because when we invest in people, we don’t just change lives—we change futures.

Spring break is here and our students have earned every moment of rest. ☀️ But when they return, it’s go time.

Testing season begins, and preparation doesn’t start the night before it starts now.

Parents, this is where we lock in together:
✔️ Keep routines consistent (sleep still matters!)
✔️ Encourage a little reading or review during the break
✔️ Talk confidence into your child—mindset is half the battle

Students, enjoy your break but remember: greatness is built in the moments nobody sees.

Let’s come back focused, prepared, and ready to show what we know. 📚💪

TRIO isn’t optional it’s necessary.
For first-gen students, low-income students, and anyone who needs someone to believe in their potential, TRIO provides the structure and support that changes lives.

We partnered with TRIO to elevate this message and to advocate for the resources these programs deserve.

Here’s a quick preview featuring Keiara Skipper and Dr. Simon two champions for equity and access.

Stay tuned for the full conversation.
