Due to unforeseen circumstances, today's Jamboree against Helix Mentorship is cancelled. We will begin our regular football season next week, away at Northeast High School. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Thrive Academy's Digital media students got a real taste of what happens behind the scenes when producing content yesterday through a hands-on collaboration with The Advocate!

Students had the opportunity to shadow The Advocate's crew from start to finish, sitting in on interviews, being interviewed, tagging along while the team collected B-roll footage, and getting an inside look at how scripts come together before content is created. It's this kind of real-world experience that sparks inspiration in a student and yesterday gave a genuine feel for what a career in digital media and journalism looks like.

At Thrive Academy, learning doesn’t always happen behind a desk. During brainstorm time, our Digital Media students put their skills into action by capturing candid moments and showing appreciation for their colleagues through photography.

From finding the right angle to capturing authentic moments, our students are learning by doing, creating, and applying what they’ve learned in real time.

It’s more than taking pictures! It’s about developing creativity, building confidence, and learning how digital media can tell a story and celebrate the people around us.
