Good Morning! In the comments are several activities/crafts that you can do with your children to celebrate Easter!
If you’re looking for something fun to fill your time, we’ve found a few fun activities for you. I’ll post links for a few fun things in the comments.
I know we’ve all got a lot going on, but I wanted to ask for your prayers. My brother who had a brain tumor removed in November, had a seizure today. He goes to the neurologist Thursday. Please pray for him and my family. My mom is struggling hard. Thank you. ❤️❤️
A new Christmas Tradition for the Clawsons! Reading the book of Luke every night until Christmas 🎄
Hard to keep your kiddos still to listen? We settled our busy boys with a play-doh activity while daddy reads. 😊
I'm soaking my feet! It's nice to relax a bit on a Sunday night. :) 👣🧘♀️
Sooo, here’s our dance video. This is from August of last year. I think I heard someone mention dance offs in our last meeting, so here you go!!!
Hi Moms!
We are so excited about the upcoming MOPS/MOMSnext year! Our steering team has been working hard to make sure it is a year of meetings each of you will enjoy!
This year the MOPS theme is to the full. The theme verse is John 10:10, “The thief comes to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it TO THE FULL.” In order to live To the Full this year, we will Have More Fun, Fear Less and Find Our People. This is our chance for a fresh start. Here’s to a year of living the full life. Full of fun, joy, refreshment, trust and rejuvenation.
Istrouma MOPS/MOMSnext registration is now up on our website! Pre-registering will help us prepare for childcare and crafts. To register you can go to our website:
https://istrouma.org/mops
Our daytime group has childcare for babies through Pre-K. Our nighttime group has childcare for babies through 5th grade and activities for middle schoolers.
If you are interested in purchasing this year’s MOPS theme t-shirt, please register by August 28th so the shirts will be in before our first meeting on September 11th! Can anyone use Blue or Silver Similac? I also have a small can of the gold lid and purple lid. We thought we would need it but God had other plans so I want to help another momma out.
MOPS is having their Like a Mother Summit May 2-5. You can sign up for free to watch the videos. Once you sign up, it gives you an option to pay $27 for lifetime access to those videos and bonus items AND includes a membership for MOPS. That's almost $5 off the price of a membership.
Morning drive time.
Lately, I’ve been jamming out with the kids on the way to school and leaving in silence as I gather my thoughts and prepare myself for the day.
Not today.
After a lovely evening with y’all, this morning I felt compelled to feed my soul and was blessed for the reminder I hadn’t listened to Priscilla (my fav) in...well...too long. As I turn on Audible, her lovely and inspiring voice starts up right where I had left off:
“Chapter 17: Anything, Everything, and Whatever.
Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for God’s glory. (1 Corinthians 10:31)
‘Whatever you do...’
..Perhaps, like many women, you constantly feel like your failing. You end most days with the sense that you’re inadequate, that you don’t have what it takes, that you just don’t have it together like everybody else seems to. This is burden of the perfectionist carries.
..this resolve to offer the best of yourself is not a call to perfectionism.
..but rather an invitation to devote the whole of yourself - your time and your talents - toward the completion of the tasks He’s appointed.
Colossians 3:17: ‘Whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.’
..when we consecrate and commit our gifts to Him in this current phase of life, we’ll see that He will empower us to use them in a way that will yield honor and glory to Himself.”
And she goes on to instruct us to find your “Whatever you do” spot
“...the one where you can actually experience the joy of doing ‘everything for God’s glory’”
I MEAN... the timing, the coincidence... that’s not coincidence, that’s God y’all! ☺️
I loved your speech last night, Robin! Words I, for one, obviously needed to hear. Thank you!
And Thank you! To the entire Steer Team for this, my first, semester with MOPS.
Love you, Ladies! 🥰
