It never ends...
What was supposed to be a relaxing Saturday night quickly turned into an SOS mission.
The caretaker of a colony we help with called to let us know there was a kitten with a plastic jar stuck on her head 🥺The poor thing kept running away whenever she saw people, but after several hours she finally went into one of the shelters. We came up with a plan, quietly approached, blocked the exit, and safely transferred her into a trap.
I immediately rushed this sweet girl to the ER, where the amazing doctors had to use special „cutters” to cut through the plastic. We don't know how long the jar had been stuck on her head, but it was long enough for maggots to be present, along with fleas, ticks, and a terrible smell.
Thankfully, aside from that, she seemed alert and in good spirits—and we're sure incredibly relieved.
She then went straight to Auntie Nancy, our wonderful vet tech. "Miracle" (that's what we're calling her for now) received medication to get rid of all the pests and got cleaned up. She's doing well and, surprisingly, isn't feral at all—just a little shy. We'll be looking for a loving foster home for her.
We're so grateful we were able to get that jar off, especially today being a very hot day, it would have been so dangerous for her. Today, Miracle got a second chance. ❤️
If you have few dollars to spare, it will go towards this girls vetting. She will see a vet this week to make sure there’s no more issues and once she’s strong enough, she’ll be spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Click donate on our page or you can also donate through PayPal : [email protected]
Thank you 🙏🏼
