Hats off to the parishioners of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church who donated so generously to the FISH Food Pantry this past weekend. A special thank you to the young organizers who raised money for us with a Lemonade Stand and as always thank you to the Knights of Columbus - St. Catherine of Siena Council 8596 for all their hard work.

Once again, the generosity of our St. Catherine of Siena parish community was truly inspiring. Together, we showed our love and care for our neighbors and those in need.

Thanks to your generosity, Knights of Columbus - St. Catherine of Siena Council 8596collected:

🥫 2,645 pounds of food
❤️ $2,487 in monetary donations

One moment from Sunday made this Food Drive especially memorable. Three of our young parishioners approached the Knights with an envelope containing $168 that they had raised through a lemonade stand in their neighborhood!

What a beautiful example of generosity, kindness, and putting our faith into action at such a young age. It was a touching reminder of the many blessings God has given our parish community.

Thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, and helped make this Food Drive possible. May God bless you for your generosity!

A big thank you to the Albertsons Companies Foundation for their very generous grant to FISH Food Pantry under the Nourishing Neighbors program. The money will be used to purchase fresh produce and proteins for our neighbors. We are very grateful to the foundation and to our local Jewel Osco stores who support the pantry every week through the Direct Connect food recovery.

Time to lace up those running shoes ...

GO FISH 5K & COLOR RUN // Saturday, August 15

Go Fish 5K 2026 will be held on Saturday, August 15th, on the Fox River Trail starting and ending at Immanuel Lutheran Church–East Dundee. Registration is required for participation, with day-of registration available. Participants of the event will receive a race bag with t-shirt and other goodies that can be picked up at Immanuel Lutheran Church on Thursday, August 13th, 7-8pm or Friday, August 14th, 3-4:30pm. Bags can also be picked up on the day of the race.

Race Day Schedule (August 15th):

7:30am Same day registration starts

8am Kids’ Color Run

8am 5K Same day registration ends

8:30am 5K start

8-10:30am Pancake Breakfast

Everyone is invited! Individuals AND Families! From couch potatoes to disciplined runners...run and/or walk to support F.I.S.H Food Pantry! Strollers welcome.

All proceeds from the race will benefit the F.I.S.H. Food Pantry. Please bring toiletry items such as a bar of soap, toothbrush or shampoo/conditioner on race day to donate to F.I.S.H pantry. Thank you!

The McNamee Family Foundation presented FISH Food Pantry a check for $14,000 from this year's Thom McNamee Memorial Dundee St. Patrick's Day Parade celebrations and Dublindee Kilted 5K run. It is hard to express how grateful we are to these amazing folks for their wonderfully generous support of the pantry.

FISH Food Pantry will be closed Monday, May 25, in observation of the Memorial Day Holiday. Regular opening hours Wednesday, May 27 and Friday, May 29.
