🎉 Record-Breaking News! 🎉

We’re thrilled to announce that the 20th annual Wheels for Warmth event raised an incredible $108,000 for emergency fuel assistance programs across Vermont! 🙌🔥 These funds will be distributed through our Capstone agencies to help keep Vermont families warm this winter.

This was truly a record-breaking year, and we couldn’t have done it without this amazing community. Thank you to everyone who donated tires, purchased tires, and helped spread the word. Your support makes a real, tangible difference.

Wheels for Warmth Donation Days are THIS Thursday and Friday!

Do you have old tires taking up space? Now is the time to repurpose them and help keep your neighbors warm all season long.

We need your tires! Every tire you donate -- useable or unusable -- generates funds for heating assistance. Salvageable tires will be inspected and sold at our Annual Tire Sale on Saturday. Tires that cannot be sold can be recycled for $5 each, or $10 for larger truck/equipment tires. Every dollar from the tire sale and the recycling fees goes directly toward keeping our neighbors warm.

A huge shoutout to Danny Granstaff who recently came across 23 discarded tires on the side of the road while riding his bike. He came back with a truck and trailer, rolled up his sleeves (literally!) and made sure they were disposed of the right way. 👏

This is one of the core reasons Wheels for Warmth was started, to keep tires off our riverbanks and out of our waste streams, and to see community members stepping up to help one another when someone’s trying to do the right thing.

We do have to laugh, though… we only wish he’d waited until next week (10/23 & 10/24) so we could’ve helped him at our official Wheels for Warmth tire collection event! 😅

Still, we’re so grateful for folks like him who keep Vermont clean, safe, and community strong. Thank you, Danny Granstaff🧡♻️
