Before fences, ruminant animals moved constantly. Predators kept them in tight herds. They grazed an area hard, left, and didn't come back until that ground had recovered. Managed rotational grazing recreates that cycle.
🪱 Manure spreads across the whole farm instead of concentrating in one place, it's nutrients feeding the soil.
💧 Rest lets plants regrow their roots. Deeper roots build organic matter, and every 1% increase in organic matter helps soil hold 20,000 to 25,000 more gallons of water per acre. That's drought AND flood protection.
🌿 Grass that's never grazed to the ground stays anchored, holding soil in place instead of losing it to erosion.
🐝 Taller, more diverse pasture means habitat for pollinators and ground-nesting birds.
