💙 A huge thank you to the from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont!

Yesterday, as part of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont’s company-wide Volunteer Day, this wonderful group spent the day with us helping paint and make some much-needed progress on a project we’ve been working toward for quite a while.

With our small team and limited staffing, this project had unfortunately been put on hold, so having a group willing to roll up their sleeves and help us move it forward made a tremendous difference.

We also want to give another huge thank you to Nelson Ace Hardware, who very generously donated the paint for this project! Our space is getting a much-needed refresh and is one step closer to becoming the welcoming community space we’ve envisioned.

We are excited to have had the help to get this project started up again! Thank you to everyone who helped make it happen! 💙

September is Hunger Action Month! 💚

We're proud to be part of a major milestone with : 150 million estimated meals delivered through Project DASH!

Right here in Central Vermont, Meals on Wheels of Central Vermont has completed more than 2,500 deliveries through Project DASH. This partnership has become an important resource for our program, helping us make sure meals still reach our clients when we don't have driver coverage available for certain routes.

With an average of 200+ meals going out each delivery day, having that additional support makes a real difference in our ability to provide consistent, reliable service to the people who depend on us.

We're grateful to be part of Project DASH and this nationwide effort to make food more accessible, one delivery at a time. 💚

🚗💙 MOWCVT’s impact is going further with DoorDash Impact We received $5,000 this season through Impact Grant to broaden food access in Barre!

This funding has already made a tremendous difference for our program. When driver availability is limited, Project DASH helps ensure our clients continue receiving their meals without interruption. Consistent, reliable meal delivery is essential for many of the older adults and homebound individuals we serve, and this grant helps us maintain that commitment.

We are grateful to DoorDash Impact and Project DASH for helping us reach more neighbors and ensuring that no one goes without a meal when transportation challenges arise. 🍽️💙

A huge thank you to Rhapsody Natural Foods for their generous donation of tempeh to Meals on Wheels of Central Vermont!

Thanks to their support, we were able to prepare a healthy and delicious meal for our clients with dietary restrictions: Coconut Tempeh served with roasted yams, summer squash, and zucchini.

Providing nutritious, thoughtful meal options for all of our recipients is incredibly important to us, and community partnerships like this help make that possible. We truly appreciate Rhapsody Natural Foods’ support of our mission and the individuals we serve throughout Central Vermont! 💚
