π A Change of Season. A Chance to Start Fresh.
As summer winds down, our food rescue routines are changing, too.
π
Farmers market rescues are winding down for the season soon, while school food rescues are getting ready to ramp back up.
And with Hunger Action Month in September and Food Waste Prevention Week later in the month, there's no better time to look at your routine and ask:
What new habit can you start?
π€ For our food donors:
Maybe it's taking a fresh look at what surplus food you have each week and making food rescue part of your regular closing or inventory routine.
π For our volunteers:
Maybe its choosing a day each week to check the app and claim a rescue- or making food rescue part of your back to school or errand routines.
π¨ For our agency partners:
Maybe it's thinking about what types of rescued food are most useful to your neighbors and sharing that with us as the new season begins.
Small routines can create BIG impact when we do them consistently.
One rescue. One donation. One delivery. One new habit at a time.
September is coming- and we're ready. π
Let's make this next season our most impactful one yet.
