This morning the Rotary Club of Barberton”s guest speakers were Travis Bornstein & his wife Shelly.
They are the founders of Tyler’s Redemption Place. Tyler’s Redemption Place is a recovery community for individuals, families, and veterans impacted by substance use. Through peer support, meetings, wellness, faith, and connection, they help people build lasting recovery, together. Thank you Travis & Shelly for sharing your inspiring story & the club wishes you continued success!

In addition to our special speaker at our meeting this week, we did a changing of the flags which involved honoring past President David R Stephens by thanking him for his work during his term and having a ceremonial changing of the Rotary flags. We also acknowledged our member Ann Hutchison who has been booking all of the Rotary speakers for our Rotary meetings for 5 years. She does such an amazing job and we wanted to thank her publicly and with a small gift for all that she does.

We had the Honor of an official visit from our New District Governor Terri Speck. She spoke of her 35 years in Rotary with many Rotary positions along the way. She has traveled across the globe and had fascinating stories. She talked about ways to increase membership by sharing more about what the Rotary Clubs do in our communities and around the world.

Mr. Jeremy R Clemetson. Clem’s Viral Bites is Jeremy’s latest business venture and it’s a beauty! Jeremy talked about his very first business and all the ones that followed. Throughout his career, Jeremy has been a great and generous community supporter. Thank you Jeremy for hosting the club this morning and we wish you continued success!

It was such an honor to have Stepanie Rafferty from TomTod ideas https://www.tomtodideas.org/ as our guest speaker this morning. Our club presented a check to help with the costs of the meaningful work that they do. Their mission is "empowering middle schoolers and supporting the communities that surround them"
A big shout out to our Rotarian member Kimberley Graves for introducing us to Stephanie (Her daughter 😉)

Theodore (Teddy) Van Sweringen, from Wright Tool & Forge was our guest speaker at The Rotary Club of Barberton this morning. Teddy has been doing an Internship under Gregg Futey, Vice President at Wright Tool & Forge in Barberton. Teddy gave some great examples of the projects he has been involved with while at Wright Tool & Forge. It certainly was easy to see Teddy has a lot of skills and a very promising future ahead of him!
