Thank you to everyone that donated food and their time to help serve our high school staff during parent teacher conferences last week. Everything was a delicious and a huge hit!!

It doesn’t have to be homemade if you don’t have time. You can get a bakery store-bought pie or cake or cookies.

The BHS PTA will be feeding the BHS staff for conferences on Thursday 2/17. We need donations.

We need:
1. another Crockpot of soup
2. 4- Cases of bottled water
3. Mult 2L of Pop (diet, regular and sprite)
4. Desserts
5. 6 -7 bags salad
6. 6 bags rolls

CONGRATULATIONS to our BHS PTA 2021/2022 "T" in PTA and Helping Hands Award Winners:

"T" in PTA (educator): Mrs. Heather Weeks

In addition, the Barberton PTA Council voted on the district educator and Mrs. Weeks won for our school district!!!

Helping Hands

BHS: Diane Kiss

Diane Kiss is an excellent candidate for the Helping Hands Award. She is not a teacher at BHS and she doesn’t have any children currently attending BHS, but she is helpful to our PTA anyway! Diane volunteered to sell donuts at one of the football games, and she helped with the organization and money collection for the fundraiser. She also volunteered to set up the PTA dinner for the Parent Teacher conferences, and she took the extra time to create a relaxing, fun environment for the teachers on a long workday. As a secretary in the main office, Diane has an impact on staff and students alike. One of the things we have recently been impressed with is her dedication to organizing charity collections on Fridays. Diane definitely has a servant’s heart, and we appreciate her helping hands.

T in PTA

BHS: Heather Weeks

Heather Weeks is one of the first teachers who comes to mind when we think of someone who has made a positive impact on the lives of children. As a member of the BHS PTA and someone who is always willing to help others, Heather is the perfect candidate for the “T” in PTA award. In addition to being an excellent English Language Arts teacher, she is the CIGAM yearbook advisor and the advisor for Teens Against Cancer (TAC). In her advisory roles, Heather encourages school involvement and provides students with volunteer opportunities. She deserves this award because she helps students and encourages them to give back to the community. Heather is involved in multiple school activities and puts in many hours of work outside of school time. She also attends many sporting events and other extracurricular activities, which demonstrates just how much she supports our BHS students.
