The MDI Community Woodbank will be Hosting A Volunteer Day Tomorrow, Sunday, August 31st, from 4:00-6:00 PM! 831 State Highway 3, Bar Harbor! Wonderful cookies made by Beth and David will be there, as well as Waters! Working here counts towards your MDI High school's Community Service Hours! Hope to see you!

The MDI Community Woodbank is pleased to congratulate one of our own, Linda Lunt, who has been honored with the 2026 Elizabeth Fritz Thorndike Award. The biennial award, managed by the Maine Community Foundation (MaineCF), honors people who have made outstanding contributions to community service on Mount Desert Island.

Linda has dedicated nearly 50 years to supporting the MDI community and beyond through her career as a social worker. She has worked with children in outer island schools, in a teen parenting program and as a case manager for adults and children with mental health challenges at various in-home agencies.

Once again, congratulations Linda! 🎉 🥳 🙌🍾🥂
