Posting short recaps of our lessons when we go over them for a bit so curious people can get an idea of what we do sometimes, or you can get a refresher.
This Tuesday we focused on framing with a straight or bent arm along the center line of the upper body. Framing on either the top of the head, middle of the collarbones, solar plexus, and slightly below the belly button. From there we worked on moving the opponent around with the frames and progressed to either initiating strikes or holds similar to the clinch or takedowns with some sparring based on this mixed in. This is a mix of striking and grappling and applicable in most combat sports. Also note when going for the lower areas as to not compromise the frame, you should lower your level enough to still have a straight angle with your arm.
