On the First Monday of May, Our Soul Of A Nation’s Volunteer and Braider Extraordinaire, Brandace Alexander provided a Beautiful Transformation through our Community Hair Care Service(see images below). This service builds self-esteem and enhances the self-image of individuals experiencing homelessness, recovering from substance abuse and/or re-entering the workforce. FBF, Can I Tell You About Soul Of A Nation’s Pop-Up Produce Outreach Event in Collaboration with Overseer Pastor Tarsha Govia and Members of House Of Prayer Faith Center! First Of All, We were so grateful that our Food/Produce Distributor, First Fruits Farm, Inc., gave us more food than they had originally set-aside. Today, we had potatoes, collard greens, tomatoes, red peppers, butternut squash, bread, chips and seasonings, making about 80 bags of FREE food and produce from First Fruits Farm, Inc. Next, A Huge Shout out goes to the volunteers— from the Youngest to the Eldest, especially, our Secretary, Cheri Thompson, and the Servant-Leaders of House of Prayer Faith Center— ALL worked together to serve the Community with Smiles and Love! We All Witnessed the gratitude of the people who started forming a line at 11 am; an hour before the Pop-Up Peoduce Outewaxh Event began! And as soon as the Green Light was given to start giving the bags away, they went quickly! We had many other people who showed up after the bags were all distributed, Showing us how the need for Food Justice activities in our communities— in these times we’re living in— is crucial. And the event was sealed with a Prayer of Unity in the Community, led by Overseer Govia. After Three Years of Serving the Community with Overseer Tarsha Govia and House Of Prayer Faith Center, I Believe There Will Be More Opportunities For Us to Partner For Future Pop-Up Produce Outreaches and Beyond!

None of this could be possible without the Support of ALL of Soul Of A Nation’s Donors! These Past Theee Years of Serving the Community has Truly Been A Pleasure!
