Gem Cutters Guild

Gem Cutters Guild Dues and initiation fees are payable upon application to membership.

The Gem Cutters Guild of Baltimore, Inc., a non-profit organization, was established in order to allow its members to gain knowledge and skills in the lapidary arts, gemology and jewelry fabrication, Become a member of the Gem Cutters Guild of Baltimore!

* Annual dues for individual membership is $35

* Each additional member living in the same home is $20 additional.

* Junior membership is

$20 annually. Juniors must be a minimum of 14 years old and must be accompanied by an adult member at all meetings, events, and in the shop.

* There is a $12 initiation fee per person which covers the cost of a membership badge, bylaws and insurance roster.

* Open shop membership is an additional $75 per year per person, and requires the member to be certified as trained on each piece of equipment they use. But you don't have to join to attend meetings (though we'd love it if you did!)

The Gem Cutters Guild of Baltimore is a nonprofit organization with the purpose of increasing awareness and appreciation of the lapidary arts and sharing the knowledge of lapidary sciences and jewelry fabrication with the local community.

As we celebrate our 75th year and gear up for our 60th Annual Gem Show, it's fun to look back on the history of our club the lapidary art of its members.
