What does it mean to be affirmed? 🩺
It can be as simple as knowing you are welcome, being addressed in a way that feels right to you, and trusting that you will be listened to without having to explain or defend who you are. In healthcare, that feeling can make a meaningful difference. 🎗️
Affirming care recognizes, respects, and supports every part of a person’s identity. It creates spaces where people can feel safe being fully themselves. 💙
At Ulman, LGBTQIA+ young adults impacted by cancer can find connection, navigation, and community programs that make room for every part of who they are. And as we look ahead, we remain committed to helping build a future where affirming care is the standard, not the exception. 🏳️🌈
