Providing help and creating hope for families in the greatest of need throughout Kern & Inyo County.

Catholic Charities is a Community Benefit Organization serving the needs of those in crisis throughout the community regardless of race, age or religious beliefs. Families experiencing difficult economic times are invited to seek assistance from Catholic Charities year-round in order to ease the burden of caring for their families. Annually, Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Fresno provides services to over 140,000 client’s through our sites in Merced, Fresno and Bakersfield. It is because of the generosity of donors, supporters and community partners that we are able to provide food, educational programs, job training and financial management to those most vulnerable throughout the year. We are dedicated to doing the most good with the generous donations made to us and are proud that 89 cents of every dollar donated goes directly into our programs and services that provide help and create hope for those seeking assistance.

1,800 coats. 24 schools. Countless warm smiles across Kern County. 🧥✨

As the temperatures drop and we head into the colder seasons, 1,800 children in our community will stay warm and protected, thanks to an extraordinary act of service.
On October 15th and 16th, the Knights of Columbus at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church loaded up our Catholic Charities truck with a massive wave of warmth. These coats have officially been distributed to 24 local schools, making an immediate and profound impact on families throughout Kern County. 🚚💙

A coat is more than just clothing—it’s comfort, dignity, and care for a child when they need it most.

We extend our deepest, most heartfelt gratitude to the Knights of Columbus for their incredible partnership and commitment to serving our youth. Together, we are keeping our community warm. 🙏❤️
