Catholic Charities is a Community Benefit Organization serving the needs of those in crisis throughout the community regardless of race, age or religious beliefs. Families experiencing difficult economic times are invited to seek assistance from Catholic Charities year-round in order to ease the burden of caring for their families. Annually, Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Fresno provides ser

vices to over 140,000 client’s through our sites in Merced, Fresno and Bakersfield. It is because of the generosity of donors, supporters and community partners that we are able to provide food, educational programs, job training and financial management to those most vulnerable throughout the year. We are dedicated to doing the most good with the generous donations made to us and are proud that 89 cents of every dollar donated goes directly into our programs and services that provide help and create hope for those seeking assistance.

We are incredibly honored to share that Catholic Charities of Bakersfield has been named the North of the River Chamber of Commerce’s 2025-2026 Nonprofit of the Year.

This recognition reflects the compassion, generosity, and partnership of so many people who make our mission possible every day.

Thank you to Mayor Karen Goh, Councilmember Andrae Gonzales, Assemblywoman Dr. Jasmeet Bains, the North of the River Chamber of Commerce, and our entire community for your continued support.
