This Memorial Day Weekend, something truly moving will take shape across the rolling hills of Bakersfield’s River Walk Park … Thousand Flags, brought to you by your friends at Bakersfield Breakfast Rotary Club. 🇺🇸

More than a thousand American flags will wave in honor of the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country — along with the first responders who continue to protect our communities every day.

Whether you come for a quiet stroll among the flags, a moment of reflection, live patriotic music, or the powerful Memorial Day ceremony itself, Thousand Flags is one of those experiences that stays with you long after you leave.

Bakersfield Breakfast Rotary Clubs Thousand Flags has begun with the placement of white dots around the Park at Riverwalk that marks placement for over 1000 flags. Tremendous thank you to teams from Smith Land Surveying, DPSI, QK, DeWalt, Smithco and Nelms Surveying all part of the Bakersfield Chapter of the California Land Surveyors Association.

One week to go! The Thousand Flags - Bakersfield 5K is fast approaching and you don’t want to miss out on the fun. Join us on Sunday, May 24 to see over 1000 flags on display at the beautiful Park at Riverwalk. The course will guide you through the awe inspiring field of flags and along the scenic bike trail. Bakersfield Breakfast Rotary will fill the Park at Riverwalk with more than a thousand American flags, creating a space to reflect, remember, and honor those who have served and sacrificed.
