Today Bakersfield Breakfast Rotary Club took all the students from the Rafer Johnson school to WWS to purchase them each a new pair of shoes. Always great to see how excited the kids are as they try on some new kicks!

Two more exciting photos from yesterdays ceremony.

Everywhere you go Rotary pops up. All around the world People of Action join together to create a better planet.
Here we are at the Alaska State Fair and chatted with members of the Susitna Rotary Club. They have a great project of water safety for children that’s been on going for 12 years.

Darn. Having trouble getting the correct link for Marti Sanders run. Please check out Sandra Parnell’s page for the correct link.

Out President Sandra Parnell just posted this!

Proof that our fellow Rotarians at Bakersfield Breakfast Rotary Club are not quite right in the head! Marti wants to run 26.2 miles for fun. 🤪🏃🏼‍♀️🚑

Calling on my fellow Rotarians to help her out. A link to donate and support Marti is attached. I need your money 💰 WHAT?!?

I’m trying to earn my spot in the 2027 NYC Marathon, but there’s a catch:

I have 53 days to raise $2,000 for NYRR Team for Kids, which provides free running and fitness programs for kids.

You donate. Kids benefit. I run 26.2 miles to earn my spot.

$100, $20, $5 — anything helps!

Help me get to NYC! 🗽

There’s nothing better than rolling up our sleeves and making a positive impact right here in our own community. Whether we’re planting trees, honoring our heroes, supporting local families, or building spaces that bring people together, our club shows every day what Service Above Self truly looks like.

Huge gratitude to our amazing volunteers, partners, and supporters who keep the momentum going. When we work together, Bakersfield shines a little brighter. 💛💙

Let’s keep lifting up our city—one project, one smile, one act of kindness at a time.

Did you know that Bakersfield has a Pet Food Pantry? Well Bakersfield Breakfast Rotary does! We gathered and donated over 400 pounds of Pet Food just last week.
The Pet Food Pantry is located at 4300 Stine Road, Suite 405 and is open the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month from 10-12. Providing emergency pet food to long term owners who have fallen on hard times.
