The Texas Restaurant Foundation was established by the Texas Restaurant Association in 1994 as a 501c3 non-profit organization, to focus on providing the necessary resources to help restaurateurs confront educational and labor challenges with the latest innovations in education, technology, and training. The TRF’s mission is to offer educational opportunities for restaurant careers in Texas. The F

Emma Hasbun, a Texas ProStart graduate, recently got to meet and cook with legendary chef and restaurateur, Thomas Keller. Emma said, “Beyond the meal itself, the interaction was meaningful and inspiring—an unforgettable moment that reflects the strength of mentorship and dedication in the culinary journey inspired by my high school instructor, Chef Aaron Ward. Thank you to everyone who made Second Chances month a success! With your help, we raised $7,620 in April! All donations will benefit the Second Chances program.

Through your support and impact investments, over 1,250 Texas employers are already creating second chances by hiring graduates. By preparing these graduates for reentering society, their recidivism rate drops to just 2 percent.

Our Second Chances program residents learned some new moves for a Daddy Daughter Dance this weekend! The Texas Restaurant Foundation provided all attendees with new suits, shoes, dresses, accessories, and jewelry! The dinner was catered by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice's culinary arts programs. THIS is what Second Chances is all about. ❤️
