Critical Mass Austin strives to demonstrate support for the Austin Transportation Departmentβs focus on creating mobility infrastructure improvements by organizing monthly multi-modal celebrations. Our goal is to maintain awareness for people that ride bicycles and other alternative modes of transportation so that safety is increased for all people.

βͺοΈ We roll together through intersections like buses and trains. Travel as a unit, pedal faster to close any gaps, and evaluate for yourself if it is safe to proceed.
βͺοΈ Stay to the right side of the road, call out hazards, do not litter, and be prepared to break off from the ride independently when necessary.
βͺοΈ Help foster our safe spaces by respecting our community norms, reporting harassment, and treating all with mutual respect.
