I think we are in a relationship with our environment. A real relationship.

There is an exchange that takes place between us and the view, the trees, the birds, the home, the plants. Whatever it is we are surrounded by.

As I am sitting here drinking my coffee looking at the view, I notice the air moving.

The clouds hovering. The trees standing. I am surrounded by another entity.

A presence.

An awareness that just sits there waiting for me to move, to feel.

To experience my day.

Our most precious companion.

Who surrounds you every day. Tell me.

With love,
Christina

Lately, I have been making my bed every morning.

I have never been a bed making person. It’s not in my DNA. :)

But something changed lately, and one morning last week I started making the bed. Perfectly.

I really liked looking at it. So then I kept making it.

There is a white knitted blanket I lay on top of the bedding, one my Greek grandmother made many decades ago. It feels like a blessing. An intention for the day. A calming.

Is there something you do every morning that has become a daily practice for you?

Gosh, safety after loss is never talked about. You are not just grieving you stop feeling safe. It takes years to come back to safety and for some of us we never return to that feeling.

But, every day we can take steps towards feeling safe by choosing the right relationships, careers, experiences, homes and slowly but surely… our thoughts.

It’s a marathon. But we can indeed get to the safe harbor.

For this week. Be yourself. Be your Original Self. Do and say only what you really mean to do and say.

Approaching the 20 year mark since Bjarne passed away, and as I am writing this I am thinking that for the people who have not experienced such a loss, they cannot understand why anyone would write about it 20 years later.

They have not experienced the time dilation we have.

They have not had otherworldly experiences like this.

They can’t get it.

I wouldn’t get it either.

It’s unfathomable to understand what 20 years feels like to someone who lost a human being from their physical reality.

It makes no sense.

I was out with my girls for dinner the other day planning where we would go on the anniversary, and we were talking about the fact that it had been 20 years.

For them it’s nearly their whole life he has been gone. It’s their dad.

It’s everything.

This isn’t even about grief.

It’s about living in a reality that removed one of the two most important people in their life.

For them it’s identity. It’s language.

It’s so much more than just saying grief.

Isn’t it?

With reflection ✨✨✨

I wish they taught self trust in schools.

Imagine a self trust curriculum at age 8. Or even 6. Maybe at kindergarten.

When we trust ourselves life changes.

We are bold.
We are courageous with less fear.

Fear comes from not trusting ourselves to make the right choices.

When I paint safely my paintings are ‘prettier.’ But when I trust myself to be bold they have emotions and feelings. They go from pretty to intimate.

It’s the same in life.

When we trust ourselves we say what’s on our mind.

We find our way to a life that doesn’t just look good on the outside. It feels good on the inside.

It’s never too late to trust the voice inside.

Gosh I wish I could scream it from the rooftops. I wish we all do this today.

Will you try?

With love for the self we carry inside,
Christina

One day the whole world will know this to be true. We are getting closer and closer to awakening. For those of you who have the Where Did You Go book keep going to the Temple. Keep bringing your objects back. Keep connecting the invisible with the visible and changing your life.

When we hide from the life we are destined to live, we hide in many places.

I dedicated a whole book to putting together a map to get us out of the Waiting Room.

It is hard work. But it is worth it.

Yesterday I shared with you a pic of my day to day life.

Building this life took me 5 years of steps out of this particular waiting room.

I share these glimpses to inspire you. To help you navigate. To believe.

Here is a short passage from my book, Invisible Loss.

“All these hiding places come together to make one big hiding space that you end up occupying.

I have named that space the Waiting Room.

You go there to feel safe, protected from what you can’t see or understand.

When you are there, your life stops, or even worse, the life you could have had is no longer available to you.
You get robbed from your right to have the life you were born to have.

Your destiny can’t find you inside the Waiting Room. You become as invisible as your many unexpected heartbreaks. You become grief itself.

That is when your destiny leaves and a new kind of destiny shows up.

This one was not born the day you were born; it came with the Waiting Room you are renting right now. It comes for free.

But the cost is astronomical.

By now, another voice is joining your reading of this book. Your brain’s fear center is being triggered. I call that voice the Survivor Self.

This is the part that tries hard to convince you that you don’t need to unbury your invisible losses, and you certainly don’t need to change anything.

It is now listing all the reasons why your life is the way it is, and why you cannot do anything about it. It will try to close this book, now.”

I hope that if you made it to here you are in self reflection mode. You are thinking about changing your life.

And remember you don’t have to think about all the steps. Just the first one.

If you have the book and haven’t read it open it today. Read a page. That’s all it takes to start.

With love 💕
Christina
