Impact Austin Impact Austin is a women's collective giving group that has given $9.14 MILLION to local nonprofits. Join us! Each member casts one vote.

Impact Austin combines annual donations from members and gives multiple grants each year to local, worthy causes selected by our members. Our membership requirements are simply to be female and to donate $1,250 each year. Beyond this, each member can be as engaged or uninvolved as she chooses. One thousand dollars of each member’s donation goes to our grant recipients. We keep our overhead costs l

ow by using a primarily volunteer staff and tapping into the talent pool of our membership. We are committed to running Impact Austin efficiently. Grant applications are accepted in one of the following focus areas:

Community
Education
Equity
Health and Well-Being

Members may volunteer to serve on committees to review grant applications and recommend finalists in each focus area. Grant finalists make presentations at our annual meeting in June of each year to share their stories with members and learn the outcome of the voting. The majority vote decides the winning grant recipients. Although members are welcome to volunteer on committees and events, and are encouraged to attend the annual meeting, we require no specific time commitment.

We offer an accessible path to membership with three annual giving levels: $2,500, $1,250, or $625. We encourage each new and renewing member to choose the level that best aligns with her financial capacity and philanthropic goals — and to consider: How much impact do you wish to make?
