We are so sad to announce that our beloved Hank the Tank (aka Mr. McTrain) has passed away.

Hank was a sweet charismatic millipede that taught millions of people why his species matters while inspiring them to be less afraid of bugs. He likely passed of old age after living a life eating lots of zucchini (without the rind) at Alveus. He made such a big impact in so little time.

Thank you for everything, Hank.❤️

This is Dewey, our Fork-Leaved Sundew plant ambassador 🌱

Did you know Dewey is a carnivorous plant?

When an insect lands on him, Dewey will secrete a sticky substance on the hairs to trap the insect! It’ll then curl up even more leaves around it to stick more hairs on and eventually break it down with digestive enzymes for nutrients!
