🚶‍♀️ WALK TO END POLIO 🚶‍♂️
The Rotary Club of Aurora United invites our community to take part in the World’s Largest Polio Walk on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Waubonsie Lake Park in Aurora.
Join Rotarians, families, friends, and neighbors as we walk together, raise awareness, and help finish the fight against polio.

📍 Waubonsie Lake Park, Aurora
🕘 Check-in begins at 9:00 a.m.
🚶 Walk begins at 10:00 a.m.
🥾 Approximately 2.7 miles around the lake
☕ Coffee and doughnuts provided
Rotary has helped reduce polio cases worldwide by 99.9%—but our promise is zero. Every $3 donated can help protect a child against polio for a lifetime. Donations are encouraged but are not required to participate.
Official End Polio Now T-shirts will be available onsite for $20.
The Aurora-area walk is proudly hosted by the Rotary Club of Aurora United, Aurora First Light Rotary, the Rotary Club of Montgomery, and the Rotary Club of Oswego.
Together, we can take the final steps toward a polio-free world.

The Rotary Club of Aurora United was pleased to welcome AID (Association for Individual Development) to our club meeting. AID shared more about the important work they do in our community, supporting individuals with developmental, intellectual, and physical disabilities and helping people live more independent and fulfilling lives.
We’re grateful for the opportunity to learn more, connect with community partners, and continue Rotary’s commitment to Service Above Self. 💙

The Rotary Club of Aurora United was pleased to welcome Ady Sepulveda, Alive Aurora Manager, who shared the inspiring work being accomplished through Alive Center for Teens.

Alive provides a safe, welcoming environment where young people can connect, grow, and lead. What makes the organization especially unique is that its programs are teen-led and teen-driven, empowering students to develop leadership skills while exploring opportunities in technology, the arts, entrepreneurship, service, and personal development.

Ady shared how Alive Aurora is creating meaningful opportunities for teens to build confidence, develop lifelong skills, and form positive relationships that strengthen both their futures and our community.

Thank you, Ady, for introducing our club to the remarkable impact Alive is making in the lives of Aurora’s youth. We look forward to seeing this organization continue to inspire and empower the next generation of community leaders.

Serving Breakfast. Serving Hope.

On July 17, members of the Rotary Club of Aurora United joined with our friends from Aurora First Light to prepare and serve breakfast for the guests at Hesed House in Aurora.

While a warm breakfast nourishes the body, the smiles, conversations, and fellowship shared that morning help nourish the spirit. Service opportunities like these remind us that even a simple meal can communicate dignity, compassion, and hope to those facing difficult circumstances.

We are grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside our fellow Rotarians and community volunteers who continue to embody Rotary’s motto of Service Above Self. Together, we are making a meaningful difference—one meal, one conversation, and one act of kindness at a time.

Learning About the Power of Hope

July 15th, the Rotary Club of Aurora United welcomed representatives from One Hope United, who shared the incredible work their organization is doing to strengthen children, youth, and families throughout our communities.
For more than a century, One Hope United has provided life-changing services including early childhood education, foster care and adoption, family support, residential care, mental health services, and crisis response. Their mission is rooted in helping children and families build brighter futures through compassion, advocacy, and opportunity.

We are grateful to our guest speaker for providing an inspiring look at the organization’s impact and for reminding us that investing in children and families creates stronger, healthier communities for generations to come.

Celebrating Service. Welcoming New Leaders. Looking Ahead.
Last evening, members of the Rotary Club of Aurora United gathered at Two Brothers Roundhouse to celebrate another remarkable year of friendship, fellowship, and service to our community.

It was an evening filled with gratitude as we reflected on the many lives touched through Rotary this past year and looked forward with excitement to the opportunities ahead.

We were especially pleased to welcome our newest Rotarians, Jason Andrade and Kevin Frank, to our Rotary family. We look forward to serving alongside you as we continue making a positive difference in our community and beyond. A special thank you to Past District Governor and Rotary Club of Aurora United member Rachel Ossyra, who conducted the swearing-in ceremony for our 2026–2027 Board of Directors. Her leadership, encouragement, and continued commitment to Rotary made the evening even more meaningful.
